The entire month of Ramadan is full of virtues and blessings of Almighty Allah. But the last ten days are especially considered as the most important for all Muslims. The last ten days are important because of different reasons, especially it is known as the days of litanies, forgiveness for the bad deeds and fire of hell. The last ten days have its importance because of the “Night of Power” known as “Lailah-Tul-Qadr”. The Night of Power is said to be amongst the odd nights of the month of Ramadan. It is assumed that the one who finds the night while awaking to worship Almighty Allah is amongst the blessed people. It is also stated that only the true Muslims and the one who do good deeds and virtues are able to see and notice the Night of Power among the odd nights of last ten days of Ramadan. It is also stated that the Night of Power falls on the 27th night of Ramadan at most. Below are the important things to do in the last 10 days of Ramadan.
- Take Vacation and do I’tikaf
First of all you must take vacation from your work. After that you need to go for the I’tikaf which is living in the Mosque for the last 10 nights of Ramadan until moon of Eid is sighted. I’tikaf is the practice of our Holy Prophet Mohammad. Muslims are abstaining themselves from the activities of the world and remain in the Mosque for the 10 days of Ramadan. They are worshiping Almighty Allah days and nights in the Mosque and keep fasts as well. The I’tikaf is also for the last three days of the Ramadan from the evening of 27th Ramadan for those who are not able to join it from the 21st Ramadan evening.
- Make Dua’s
The last 10 days of Ramadan are considered for the acceptance of Dua’s. Therefore Muslims should seek blessings of Almighty Allah for the rest of their lives. Moreover, they must also seek forgiveness for the sins that they have committed in the past and the sins that they might commit in future.
- Recitation of Holy Qur’an
Muslims should try their best to recite as much Qur’an as possible during the last 10 days of Ramadan. This is because with every word they recite of the Qur’an they are getting 70 virtues extra because of the blessings of the Ramadan. If you are not able to recite Holy Qur’an then you are supposed to listen to it where it is being recited.
- Try to Understand the Meaning of Qur’an
The Muslims are needed to try to understand the meaning of Qur’an wherever they hear its recitation. Muslims are supposed to hear the Qur’an with concentration and then try to understand its meaning. Muslims need to implement the Noble Qur’an in their daily life.
- Do Astaghfar
The last ten days of the month of Ramadan are known for its Maghfirat. Muslims who are seeking forgiveness for the sins they have done in their lives are forgiven by Almighty Allah. The night of power is a special night when people remain awake and worship Almighty Allah for the entire night and seek forgiveness. The last ten days are known for its blessings of wiping out the sins.
- Make Personal Dua
There is a lot more chances of the acceptance of dua’s in the last ten days of Ramadan. Therefore, Muslims are required to make a list of dua’s which are for themselves and the people near to them.
