Love your Family

Love your Family: Ibn Mas’ud reported: The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said, “Fear Allah and maintain relations with your family members.” (Source: Tārīkh Dimashq 56/317). That is how important our family is in Islam. Family is the number one support system that we have after Allah SWT. Having born in an Islamic family is such a blessing especially when we are able to constantly remind each other about how important it is to fear Allah SWT.

Love your Family

In addition, Aisha reported: A Bedouin came to the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, and he said, “You kiss the children? We do not kiss them.” The Prophet said, “I cannot put mercy into your heart if Allah has removed it from you.” (Source: Ṣaḥīḥ al-Bukhārī 5652, Ṣaḥīḥ Muslim 2317). That shows that we need to have love to our children and the kids. Showing love would eventually ensure that your children will grow up in a family which love him or her dearly. Lack of love and attention would lead to the problems among our society. Often we here about teenagers running away from home or convicting something bad and most of them agreed that it is because they never get their parents’ attention as they were busy looking for money and taking care of business.

One should never neglected their family members as family are everything. If we were unable to educate our children, they might be the reason why we ended up in Jahannam. Hence, we should provide ample of love and attention to our children. Give them love and at the same time, be strict to them, especially when it comes to religion. Teach your children to fear Allah and love Islam so that they can grow up being a good Muslim which would do good deeds to the religion and their family. Send your children to good school with great teaching of Islam instead of sending them to school just for the sake of getting them good results. Let them know the beauty of Islam.

The love between families is very important in order to protect the relationship between one another. Mother’s love to their children are incomparable, hence, the father needs to teach their children to respect and love their mother after Allah and Rasulullah SAW. Good person would be born from a good family just like how a tree would produce sweet fruits and not poisonous fruit to benefits others.
