The Pilgrimage: Worship of God is most vital and delicate thing in every religion. Each religion has its God and norms to worship them. For example, Hindus have a ritual to do Yaatra to their ancient temples. Christians go to their church. In Islam Allah Almighty set different rituals to worship him.
There are five basic pillars of Islam. Namaz, Fasting, Zakat are one them. The pilgrimage is one of the most vital ritual or kind of worship. It is like the top level of love with Allah Almighty.
Hajj is the fifth pillar of Islam which is the last stage of your love to Allah Almighty. For which one goes to Makkah to visit “Khana Kaba” and to meet his creator.
There are different manners of Hajj. It is the procedure of different steps. People from all over the world visit “Khana Kaba” every year.
Pilgrimage is a practical worship, the ultimate forgiveness of sins, devotion and intense spirituality.
Allah Almighty says, “The one who performs Hajj with true spirit and done all rituals of it, his sins will be vanished and he will appear like a new born baby, clean and true soul”.
It clearly shows the importance of Hajj in a Muslim’s life.
Now let’s have a glance on different rituals of Hajj.
Pilgrimage starts from 8th Dhu al-Hijja and ends at 13 Dhu al-Hijja.
At day 1 Miqat which means arrival and change into ihram. Then Meeqa and Meeca to Mina.
Day 2, Mina to plain of ‘Arafat and then travel to Muzdalifa. Day 3, Muzdalifa to Mina then Meeca and finally Meeca to Mina.
Day 4-6 at Mina where Muslims fulfill the ritual of Jamrat that is stoning all three pillars (Jamrat) in set order. And then finally return to Meeca for final Tawaf.
These are the basics of pilgrimage. It is set as fifth pillar of Islam and only those people are obliged to do it, who can afford it. If one can afford then he is obliged to do it.
Prophet Hazrat Muhammad (PBUH) did one Hajj in his whole sacred life.
It is the time when Allah wants his men or women to be pure in his love. He wants you in a simple white dress of only two pieces. When one can’t even sets his hair because if a person is a true lover, he won’t really care about his dress, hair or food because he is here for his love. You are there to meet your creator you are there to show him your love.
But most important thing, one must try to perform Hajj in youth. It is not the right way to go on wheel chair or when you are at your stage of life. Hajj is not a duty of your spare time it is the love in fact it is a practical proof of your love. It requires a lot of hard work and patience that’s why it is suggested to do it in your youth.
